The Royal Enfield’s most Terrain adaptable bike Himalayan is all set to be launched equipped with tripper navigation in 2021. RE bikers through relentless experimental expeditions have been able to scale high with evolved machines and transformed frame and structure. The dual-purpose motorcycle has been designed to be tough to meet the off-road capabilities. It has been the highest sold bike last year that has on-road price worth above 2 Lakh.

The ex-showroom price is Rs 1.91-1.96 Lakh.
Engine Specifications
The Himalayan 411cc engine delivers 24.3bhp power at 6500rpm and torque of 32Nm at 4500rpm.The powerhouse includes an oil cooler, the first one to have this provision among the RE range of motorcycles. The New Royal Enfield Himalayan comes with Electronic Fuel Injection Technology in India. The engine is mated to a 5-speed constant mesh transmission.
Frame and Chassis
The Himalayan has a half-duplex split cradle frame. The long travel Suspension is telescopic in the front while the rear is provided with mono-shock suspension that helps smoothen off-road ride. Front forks are 41 mm with 200 mm of travel and the rear suspension offers 180 mm of travel. The motorcycle has a ground clearance of 220 mm.
Stock tires measure 90/90 21-inch at the front and 120/90 17-inch at the rear. These are manufactured by CEAT. The motorcycle has a 300 mm disc with a dual piston floating caliper at the front and a 240 mm single piston caliper disc at rear.
The 800mm seat height, handlebars and foot pegs are perfectly-positioned to offer upright positon during ride which helps to reduce overall fatigue.
The 2021 model has a been designed with a modified metal frame mounted toward the front of the fuel tank. The metal frame is smaller and slightly more forward set than the current position in the existing model. This is too improve the seating ergonomics and thus the ride position.
Safety Feature
The Himalayan is equipped with switchable anti-lock braking system (ABS). The dual channel ABS can be disconnected at the rear to have a more control and engaging ride experience when off-road.
Instrument Cluster
The instrument console in the 2021 upcoming model gets the tripper navigation pod along with analog speedometer and tachometer, digital display for the odometer, gear position indicator and Ambient temperature gauge. It also has the analog fuel gauge and digital compass.
The Tripper navigation consist of the Bike Pod and the App. Both work in symphony. The rider enters the information in the app and the instructions turn-by-turn are shown on the display.
Royal Enfield App uses Google Locations data, there by allowing the rider to enter along the way up-to 20 way points. Also by using the app, the navigation is unobstructed even when riding in low or no-signal roads.
