Yamaha's Iconic FZ series Launched With Advanced Ride Assist Features



Yamaha has been able to raise a considerably valuable consumer base with the FZ series of bike since its launch in 2008.  The FZ and FZ-S are successors to the FZ16 (2008), and were developed to deliver improved fuel economy and performance. In addition to performance up-gradation the series of FZ bikes are designed using sharp styling elements. The updated FZ series of bikes has been launched to fulfil the demands of the trend conscious customers.

Price

The price of the new FZ FI starts from Rs.1,03,700 Ex-showroom Delhi and new FZS FI starts from Rs. 1,07,200 Ex-showroom Delhi.

Engine Specifications

The FZ bikes are powered by BS6 compliant 149 cc FI engine which offers 12.2bhp power at 7250rpm and 12.8 Nm Torque at 6000 rpm.

Feature Updates

The overall weight reduction from 137 kilos to 135 kilos, Yamaha promises to offer better manoeuvring capability along with an improved comfort of handling to riders. All models in the new FZ (149CC) series are powered by single channel ABS along with LED headlight, 140 mm wide rear radial tyre, two level single-piece seating.

Among the other promising new features are Side Stand Engine Cutoff Switch and the modified exhaust system which has been tuned to produce better sound.

FZS FI Models are enabled with Yamaha Motorcycle Connect X Bluetooth- technology which offers several added features like 'Answer back', 'E-lock', 'Locate my bike', 'Hazard' and many more technology assist security features.

The new FZ series which include the FZ FI models is now offered in two colours - Racing Blue and Metallic black. The FZS FI models come with five colour options - Matte red (new), Dark matte blue, Matte black, Dark knight and Vintage Edition.

The iconic FZ product line-up would see a larger market intake for the upcoming bikes as the Japanese manufacturer equips its motorcycle with agile styling and advanced ride assist features.
