Toyota has made aggressive efforts to adopt and launch Maruti Suzuki inspired models like Glanza and Urban Cruiser in the trending segments and ensure its competitive market presence. This year however, Toyota plans to make the bold move to launch its globally renowned crossover 5-gen model RAV4. The powerful and promising crossover will be imported as completely built units and the company aims to showcase the hybrid model by mid 2021.

The ex-showroom price of RAV4 is expected to be Rs 40-60 Lakh.
Engine Specification
Internationally, the RAV4 is available with a 2.5-litre petrol four-cylinder, Atkinson cycle petrol engine that offers options of a hybrid and a plug-in hybrid. The one expected to launch in India might get the 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine with hybrid tech similar to the Camry, that should offer 219ps combined
Transmission
It comes paired to a CVT gearbox, making the whole package offer a fuel efficiency of up to 18 kmpl.
Dimension
The RAV4 is about 4.6 metres long and gets a wheelbase of 2,690 mm. It is built on Toyota’s modular unibody automobile TNGA-K platform.
Interior Features
Toyota RAV4 comes advanced cabin where the new 8.0-inch floating infotainment system takes centre of the well laid dashboard. It is also equipped with Toyota's Entune 3.0 audio system, Apple CarPlay, Amazon Alexa and in-built navigation.
Other features include USB ports, wireless phone charger and an optional 800-watt JBL sound system among others. The SUV also gets some optional features like a new high mounted rear camera and a new rear view mirror display for improved visibility.
Presently, the US-spec Toyota RAV4 comes with Toyota's Safety Sense, which includes features like forward collision warning with pedestrian detection and emergency braking, dynamic cruise control, lane departure warning with steering assist and auto high beams among others.
Exterior Features
Adaptation of the new platform, the RAV4 SUV now comes with a slightly longer wheelbase, while the overall length has seen a marginal reduction. It's also slightly wider and a tad shorter, which gives the new RAV4 a beefier look. The SUV comes with an aggressive face defined by some bold muscular lines, stylish 19-inch black alloy wheels, two-tone colour option and more. The RAV4 comes with LED headlights and taillights, a roof-mounted spoiler, front and rear skid plates, and a dual exhaust system.
The RAV4 SUV is likely to be strong contender in the segment with existing rivals like Mercedes-Benz GLC, BMW X3, Lexus NX, and Jaguar F-Pace.
