Hyundai is all geared up for the global debut of 7-seater SUV Alcazar. It will join hands with other automakers in the segment to widen the range of models in the current portfolio. Hyundai’s premium SUV will be offered in the lucrative bracket to make it viable for the potential consumers. 

The Alcazar is expected to be  powered by  a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol which will offer 138bhp and 250Nm of torque and a 1.5-litre turbo-diesel will deliver 113bhp and 250Nm. Both the engines will come mated with manual and automatic transmission options. 

The overall design of the new SUV is inspired from Creta it is expected to have flatter profile. Its will have renewed exterior and interior elements like-longer wheelbase, studded grille, new bumper, new headlamps, renewed rear design, spacious interior, larger infotainment system, leather upholstery, 360 degree camera, front parking sensors and much more.

The expected price of 6-7 seater SUV Alcazar is Rs 15-18 Lakh.

The Hyundai Alcazar will rival with MG Hector Plus, Tata Safari and upcoming Mahindra SUV 500.

The 2022 Kia Carnival had been unveiled in U.S. with renewed and advanced design, technology and safety features. However the engine configuration has been slightly upgraded from the former 2021 Kia Carnival 276-hp 3.3 Litre V6 to 3.5-liter V-6 that churns out 290 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque. The powertrain is mated with 8-speed automatic transmission. India too awaits a facelift of the existing 2014 model. 

The 2021 Carnival which is the expected facelift grand utility model in India. It is characterised by its tiger nose front and distinct grille design, an overall straight box line built. The 7/8 seater MPV has a longer wheelbase to ensure better stability and driving control.

The interior cabin is equipped with 12.3-inch digital driver instrument cluster and 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment and navigation system under a single stretch of glass enclosure. There is a similar control panel further down the central console for climate control. The interior has been made spacious for the third row passengers and best in class luggage space.

The other engine options in 2021 model include-  2.2-liter ‘Smartstream’ diesel that produces up to 202 ps, and offering 440 Nm torque over a broad range of engine speeds.
