Engine Specifications
The international spec recently unveiled is powered by with a conventional petrol and a dual-motor petrol-electric hybrid powertrain option. The conventional petrol model will be powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine which will be paired with a CVT gearbox.
The hybrid model pairs the internal combustion petrol engine with two electric motors and an on-board lithium-ion battery pack to offer driving in pure electric, hybrid and engine power modes that is mated with fixed gear configuration.
Among the two electric motors, one is coupled with the engine to generate electricity while the second is used to power the wheels. In EV mode the second motor draws power from the battery while in hybrid the engine powers the first motor which in turn sends power to the second motor. Under hard acceleration the second motor also draws power from the battery. In engine power mode the petrol engine sends power directly to the wheels.
The standard petrol and the hybrid are offered in front and all-wheel drive configurations.

Mileage
It’s expected to deliver fuel economy of 27.8kmpl. The new Honda HR-V hybrid offers a combined mileage of 4.1litres/100km (24.39kmpl).
The powerful hybrid system promises to deliver power punch of 109bhp and its capable to go 0 to 100kmph in 9.5 seconds.
Interior
The HRV’s key interior features include -a large infotainment system supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 7-inch TFT, Honda Connect, wireless charging, rear AC vents, a panoramic sunroof, leather seats with ventilation, remote boot opening, hill descent control, Honda Sensing technology, active cornering light, blind spot information and much more.
Exterior
The side profile has been adorned by an angular C-pillar with rear door handles, a sloping roofline, prominent wheel arches shod with dual-tone machine cut alloy wheels, dual tone ORVMs with turn indicators and side body cladding.
Safety Features
The safety features has been made advanced to aid reduction of include a misstep collision mitigation system that sounds an alert and automatically applies the brake should the car detect that the driver has accidentally set-off into the path of an obstacle, adaptive cruise control, pedestrian detection and avoidance, collision mitigation braking, lane hold assist and traffic sign recognition.
The cost effective production and market challenges has compelled Japanese automaker to shutdown on few of its models in India. However the increasing consumer base in India for hybrid compact crossover by many other international brands sheds some positive light on the investment plans that company could make for the future.
