Hyundai made the International debut of the high performance N-division of cars in 2017. The Hyundai i30 was the first to launch its N-line model , then 2019 Hyundai Veloster N and Hyundai unveiled the N- line  i10 and i20 in 2020. The automaker characterises its N-line models to have
firmer suspension, efficiently tuned powertrains to deliver amplified performance and sportier styling to its interior and exterior elements. The World Rally Championship contender N-line models have already proved their niche in the segment and have successfully developed a growing consumer interest in the international market. Surely, India too awaits with high anticipation the arrival of exclusive WRC N-Line series of performance based driving machines by Hyundai.

Price 

The price of the N-Line i20 would be slightly more premium (i.e. around Rs 50000) than the existing ex-showroom price of the ordinary i20 that stands at Rs 6.79-11.32 Lakh.

Engine Specifications

Internationally the N-line i20 is powered by the retuned 1.0-litre turbo-petrol 998cc T-GDI engine that delivers max of 120ps power and 200.06 Nm Torque and the 1.2-litre MPI(multi point injection) 4 cylinder petrol engine that has 1197cc displacement offers a max power output of 84ps and 117.6Nm Torque.

The global model blends the powertrain with 48V mild-hybrid technology and is optionally available with Hyundai’s new Intelligent Mannual Transmission, for enhanced efficiency. Hyundai has also made modifications to the car’s suspension, accelerator response and exhaust sound to add to the driving thrill.

Interior

Its interior is very similar to the recently launched facelift i20 with 10.25 inch touchscreen, bose sound system, wireless charging and much more, but gains N badging and red stitching throughout, sport front seats, a bespoke steering wheel, metal pedals and an N-branded leather gear knob.

The i20 N Line also has the Hyundai’s Bluelink connectivity software that equips the standard i20 and a range of advanced driver assistance systems.

Exterior

The front of the N Line is set apart from lower trims by a new bumper with a grey contrasting stripe, a black grille with a “chequered flag” stunning style pattern and a prominent N Line badge.

The motorsport-influenced theme continues at the rear, where the i20 N Line gains a diffuser-style bumper, an eye-catchy triangular fog-light like that of the i30 N hot hatch and a chrome twin-exit exhaust.

The N Line will be available in a choice of four exterior colours: Phantom Black, Aurora Grey, Brass and Polar White, the latter of which can be specified with a black roof. Moreover, the exterior styling package is a set of bespoke for the driving enthusiast, two-tone 17-inch alloy wheels.

Hyundai being one of the top selling and most trusted auto-giant in India, the introduction of the performance based N- Line will only be added gem to the crown. Especially as it plans to unveil its N brand i20 with efficient transmission options MT and Imt . Hyundai would strengthen the segment portfolio with globally acclaimed N marque model as it would join in the unbeatable legacy of its automobile stance in India.
